As we close out another incredible year at U.P. Home Inspection, LLC, we find ourselves filled with gratitude for the amazing community that has supported us throughout 2025. From Copper Harbor to Menominee, from Lake Superior’s shores to the Wisconsin border, you’ve made this our best year yet.
We’re excited to share our 2025 Year in Review:
A Year of Growth and Achievement

2025 was truly remarkable for our team. We’re proud to share that we surpassed our previous record year (2024) by approximately 10%, conducting home inspections across all 15 Upper Peninsula counties. From remote Keweenaw County to our home base of Alger County, we’ve been privileged to serve homebuyers, sellers, and property owners throughout this beautiful region.
Professional Milestones
This year brought significant professional achievements for our team:
Rich earned the Certified Master Inspector® (CMI®) designation in February from the Master Inspector Certification Board, Inc. This is the inspection industry’s highest professional credential in both the United States and Canada—and we’re honored that Rich is the U.P.’s only inspector to hold this prestigious designation. Read more about this achievement here.

Anne (Ona) completed the comprehensive InterNACHI Home Inspector Certificate Program in March, fulfilling the rigorous requirements to maintain her standing as a fully Certified Professional Inspector. The program consists of 12 in-depth courses covering every aspect of professional home inspection. In June, she also earned her certification as an InterNACHI Certified Mold Inspector, expanding our ability to serve U.P. homeowners’ environmental testing needs.

By the Numbers: 2025 Year in Review
Looking back at the year’s inspections reveals the scope of our service across the U.P.:
- Every one of the U.P.’s 15 counties served: Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft
- Average home size inspected: 1,663 square feet
- Average drive distance to inspections: 75 miles one way is typical for us—compared to the typical 20 mile radius for the average home inspector in the U.S.
- We logged 37,000 miles driving to and from inspections in 2025!

Grateful for Our U.P. Community
Our success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the people who make our work possible and our days brighter:
To our clients: Thank you for trusting us with one of the most important investments of your life. Whether you were buying your first home, selling a property you’ve loved for decades, or ensuring your current home is safe and sound, we’re honored you chose us.
To the real estate professionals we work alongside—realtors, mortgage brokers, attorneys, and title companies—thank you for your professionalism, collaboration, and referrals. You make every transaction smoother.
To our essential partners: The water treatment specialists who process our samples, our mold testing laboratory, HVAC contractors, electricians, plumbers, and all the skilled trades we recommend—you’re the backbone of home safety in the U.P.
To the everyday faces of the U.P.: The waitresses who served us lunch between inspections, the gas station attendants in tiny towns across the U.P., the grocery store clerks, the snowplow drivers keeping roads clear, and everyone who keeps this region running—you make the U.P. the special place it is.

Looking Ahead to 2026
As we enter 2026, we’re excited to continue serving the Upper Peninsula with the same dedication, professionalism, and local expertise you’ve come to expect. We’re committed to staying at the forefront of our industry through ongoing education, the latest inspection technology, and most importantly, maintaining the personal touch that makes U.P. Home Inspection different.
Whether you’re buying, selling, or maintaining your U.P. home, we’re here to help you make informed decisions with confidence.
From Our Family to Yours
From Rich, Ona, and the entire U.P. Home Inspection team, we wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, prosperous 2026. Thank you for making 2025 unforgettable.
